Ice Software

The Ice Data Network System (IDNS) is a custom software application designed by PAL Environmental Services to provide our clients with the tools to record ice information, assess risk, and assist in management decisions. The IDNS can operate in a stand-alone application or part of a multi-operator network.

Data Collection
The IDNS provides data collection through simple to use logging screens. Once entered, the data is analyzed by the IDNS and is then presented in terms of risk analysis and threat assessment. Output is both graphic and text based in a simple to understand format.

IDNS provides the following modules:
• Data Collection
• Drift Calculations
• Risk Assessment
• Tow Evaluation
• Mass and Draft Calculation
• Drift Forecasts
• Reconnaissance Planning
• Integrated Ice and Environmental Reporting

The IDNS can operate as a stand-alone system based either on the main facility or a support vessel. It can also be operated as an Internet based application accessible from anywhere in the world.
If you are planning operations in areas subjected to ice/iceberg incursions, then IDNS is the solution to safe and efficient operations. Contact us today and let us put IDNS to work for you.
